October 14, 2014 — words on a blackboard
I see rain on our window frame
I see rain on our window frame,
And dreams inside the falling drops.
I see music in the noise,
And paths where there are none.
I see people wandering around their hearts,
And the many ways they love to embrace lies.
I see fires, cars and playful city lights,
And a little storm waiting just ahead of us.
I see anger clung on to wasted odds,
And a thunder giving voice to our souls.
I see shadows covering the wall of thoughts,
And the wind tickling hands that are now lost.
I see streaks of light shivering beneath the door,
And days drawing circles on the floor.
I see yellow climbing on the stairs,
And horizons cropped to fit our further steps.
There is rain on our window frame…
This is truly a remarkable poem! Your descriptions are so vivid and unique! I love the line “a thunder giving voice to our souls.” It is so powerful! Excellent job!

This is beautiful. My favorite line came in right at the starting, the one that mentioned dreams inside drops. I hope I can write like you, someday !

I love the line ‘And dreams inside the falling drops ‘ makes me want to keep reading, and ‘ Streaks of light shivering beneath the door’ makes me realise it was worth it 🙂 Thank you. Lovely poem.

Awesome and I love the line; I see anger clung on to wasted odds. That is the moment in time when people have to decide to make a “choice”. Great poem.

This is a beautiful poem! I like how it started all positive – good things and then the subtle shift that took place with “I see people wandering around their hearts, And the many ways they love to embrace lies.” Rain on a window frame can conjure loving and lonely thoughts.

You write wonderfully.
If I’m lucky — if it rains tomorrow — I may have a bagatelle of a lyric in response.
Until I know what the day holds, I’ll hang on to this — drops of rain falling from a clear night sky.

Your writing is more than writing. It is difficult to express how I feel as I read your words. The words simply disappear and your expression becomes an experience rather than a poem. I feel many feelings as each line passes. By the end of the poem, and I return to my world, it is like all the feelings don’t know what to do. They have all been aroused with no place to go. You are a very talented writer. Your expressions are so beautiful. So real. So honest. I’m honored to have the opportunity to read your expressions.
