October 21, 2014 — words on a blackboard
Shallow waters
I breathe in shallow waters,
And walk on leaves that carry glances of the past.
I see reflections of the sun,
And close them in a mirror spread inside.
I shade autumn with my palms,
And hold back the night without its stars.
I step quietly in morning light,
And search for answers in the dew that ceased to shine.
I stare at painted walls with all the things I cannot do,
And walk away before the colours disappear.
I chase the air that holds the scent of all my dreams,
And race time to find a way while I can.
I stop and look around.
There’s so much restless agitation in everything that owns a piece of life.
So then I breathe. The shallow waters have a brink.
I loved your poem! 🙂

Beautiful poetic style. So gentle yet so real. Simple yet contains such vivid imagery that carries me away from the words and into your world. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful expression. I know I will be wanting to read more of your work.
