Oblivion
We’re strangers in the crowds
Oblivion lies in our minds
We seek the beats that gave us life
We seek the time that endured us to be nothing but ourselves inside
Cause now, we are only an opaque glass where no light can shine
Obscurity reigns everywhere around
We’re strangers in the crowds
Oblivion lies in our minds
We hide in noise, we kill the thoughts
We want nothing other than a belief to hold on
When time comes we’ll give it all again for a single dream in which we lose
And then we’ll wonder, when did our hearts die…
We’re strangers in the crowds
Oblivion lies in our minds
We grab the snow, the season lights and replace all we might still have in us
Our steps mingle among hurried souls on rowdy streets in night
We want to find the missing version of what we once were
And ask why is that we no longer feel anything in us.

Beautiful but sad at the same time. I hope that those people won’t be strangers at some point in this crowd. And that they will feel reborn.

Mostly because we fill ourselves with things that in and of themselves are empty. Beautiful poetry

We know
this passing of what we once were
will pass
when the one who lives forever
whispers now
is your time.
Come on now, blackboard;
its not really as bleak
as all that.

Powerful and thought provoking. Sometimes we feel lost in the crowds. Sometimes we lose our own identities yet we all remain moving and all remain connected 🙂
