Blue seas

4887fdb25f3c9492afd086e240ab8dd4

I glare at the blue seas
At the sand that buries all the images I carry
At the waves that steal my heart’s desires and make them briefly disappear
At the seagulls giving voice and wings to my imprisoned soul
At the sun that warms my anger when it comes to what I’ve lost
At the joyful people playing, tempting me outside my downcast dreams
At the breeze that enters in my stable kingdom and tickles with a laugh my inflexible will to cling on a last reserve of exhausted grief
At the lively drops spouting from the ocean to embrace horizons full of rosy or illusive promises
At the wind that makes me swing and wish to spin the story like in a dance for two
At the shells that whisper in the echo of my nostalgic hum
At the water murmuring to drag me from the vanished times.
I glare at the blue seas,
But all I really see is how I miss…

  4. Being one of your ‘joyful people’ I hope you’ll share with us what you miss.
K2GLOCALCOMM [above] has pegged you spot on. Will you be in New Orleans for Christmas? I’d loveto drag you about my vanishing town.

  5. Your poem is like a beautiful painting, where I sit and stare at the painting for hours, seeing so much within it, feeling so much from it, never wanting to leave it until the security guard comes and tells me that it is time to leave.

Still I have to pull myself away. Looking back as I walk away until I can no longer see the painting. Then the painting lives on in my mind as I walk down the street and never leaves me. It is always embedded within my heart.

This is what your poetry is like for me.
