Perceptions
I see life as a ride on a swing
Going back and forth until everything spins
I see silence as a waterfall
Disrupting the calm, imposing its flow
I see powerlessness as a chain
Imprinting a trace that enslaves
I see freedom as a cloud
Carrying both the sun and the rain inside
I see dreams as a fairytale
Needing courage to overturn its ending
I see falling as a tear
Calling for a hand to wipe the last of it
I see the ego as a shadow
Failing to show the beauty of a real shape
I see waiting as a train
Spreading restlessness, fears of missing the game
I see hope as a fountain with clear water
Misleading the eyes, fooling naive hearts
I see planning as a laughter
Pertaining to either the winner or the mocker
I see love as an illusion
Nursing all the imaginary confusions
I see the world as a hurricane
You can either feel it or you can stay away.
I like this. The final two lines are particularly powerful.
